I really can't see getting married at Wal-mart. That's probably not going to go over big with the bride to be.

Default Cheap - Free Wedding Ceremony Location

A few thoughts come to mind. When is the wedding ?, and possibly a during the week wedding would be more affordable than the weekend version. My guess is that all outdoor venues fall under some governing authority, and it may be necessary to secure permission from that authority to use the space for something such as a wedding. My daughter was married outside in a public space and I had to show proof of insurance to the Town, post a "clean-up" retainer which I got back, and to secure the actual space we wanted several cousins and uncles went over early and staked out the area we wanted. Everything worked wonderfully.

Another alternative would be to be married by a local justice or town clerk, with a very small group present, and then have a reception at another location with more invited guests.

Where are you?

There are so many options. Observed weddings at Meredith's Hesky and Scenic Parks by the Lake. There are parks in Laconia: Opeeche and downtown Rotary Park, or the boardwalk at Weirs Beach on a weekday. There is a Park /dock opposite the Museum in Tamworth or Melvin Village on way to Wolfeboro from Center Harbor.
Depends on how many guests at wedding.
The gazebo/band stand in Center Harbor.
The gazebo at end of Meredith's board walk - Church Landing, which is a very busy place.
If they are skiers, go to summit of Gunstock in summer or fall, on the chairlift, with a justice of peace and try Hawkins for Photography.
There are parks & public lands in Moultonboro, like Lee's Mills, at end of dead end road, and not crowded or busy with "tourists".

Here's a freebie spot that might be a real possibility; the very attractive Leavitt Beach area that's in Meredith and pretty close to Center Harbor. It is a Town of Meredith, no-charge & open to all public beach with real flush bathrooms with running water, parking, picnic tables and outdoor bar-b-que steel grill, lifeguards (in the past), and maybe 25 acres of wooded land with huge towering pine trees attached to the waterfront. Occaisionally, it gets used by groups for 'sunrise yoga on the beach' and other group uses, so maybe a wedding ceremony would be ok with the town.

It has a long and wide, natural sandy beach with some good wide views across the lake to the mountains.

Possibly, the wedding ceremony could include a Hawaiian style raft, made from two Grumman canoes attached together, with the wedding couple paddled to shore by attendants, or maybe a Donzi towing an aquaplane with two on board, lots of possibilities for a waterfront-wedding?

Sure beats the heck out of the Wal-Mart parking lot, no offense to wallyworld!

Remember though, Wal-Mart has a special, clause ( making FLL The Best Man )... After all, he bought his first tennis racquet over there for less.
Also, with his many talents and sense of humor, he more than likely has a very lucrative sponsorship with...

Hi Less!

jniff101, Happy Wedding!!!!
