What to buy ? Where to buy ? Cost to but ? Thanks for any help.... |

If you own a home and the boat is not too old you can usually add it to your homeowners insurance policy. Our 2006 Whaler is covered that way.
If not, you will need a Yacht Policy. Our 1976 Slickcraft is covered by Acadia Insurance. |

Like SLICKCRAFT I have my boat with my homeowners. We also pay a greatly reduced rate for layup time ( Nov 1st-May 1st ).

I like BoatUS.......they have towing as well as many other services......go on line and compare prices with your local agent.

Generally speaking, unless it's a small boat with limited power, or a smaller sailboat, homeowners policies are pretty restrictive on boats re:liability and property protection. I think most default to $1,500 or so on property. There are many, many insurers out there that offer policies specifically tailored to boats.

BoatUS Here ! Been with them for years. Have shopped around, but found them to be best. They also offer a host of other services, Towing, Trailer Assist to name a few.
Always been the lowest, and provided stellar Customer Service..... BD |
