Lost tiger cat
We lost a 10 year old gray tiger cat in the Castle in the clouds area. Hoping someone took her in. Anyone heard anything about a cat over this way? Missing since October 1, 2010, and greatly missed.

Missing Miss Kitty
Natt,
Any word on Miss Kitty? As the weather is getting colder at night now, I hope she will head for home if she is just out visiting. Does she usually stay close to home? Hope Forum members are keeping an eye out for her. Please keep us posted and let us know if she turns up. |

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you Natt. I can only imagine how worried you must be, and hope your kitty finds its way home really soon!

No kitty
Thanks for your concerns and for looking for our cat. We are not very hopeful that she will return. Have a cat door that locks, but she was the one cat smart enough to figure it out and be able to get out at night. But that doesn't keep us from looking and hoping that she may return. Thanks all. I drove down 171 real slow yesterday looking for any gray cats. Not seeing any. Sorry. We are planning a hike this Saturday so I will keep an eye out then.
Would help if you had a picture to post, to compare. Have you tried the lakes region humane society in Ossipee? |

I've heard this works
If you still have the litter box with "used" litter try putting it outside. I have several "pet" friends who swear this works. Somehow the smell will attract the kitty and she'll come back. Can't hurt and might help?

Keep Hope Alive
I had an old cat named Gemini back in the ‘60’s, who turned up missing one day. In fact she looked very similar to Ruby. As the days turned to weeks, we had given up hope of ever seeing her again. After a whole month had passed, she appeared on the porch one evening. She was just skin and bones and we suspected that she had been locked up somewhere. Cats being the curious creatures that they are, cannot resist an open door and love to explore new places. They can get locked in without anyone noticing they are there. Don't give up hope yet.

When I was young we had a cat that left for nine months and then came home! It happens. Several years ago we had one that disappeared for a week and then came home. He was very skinny. We think he got into a car (he loved them) and finally found his way home.

Ruby
Ruby also likes to get into cars and other places. We have checked all the garages and barns in the area. I had a friend who's cat also came back after 6 months. We hope that Ruby will be home someday too. I call her every day incase she is in the area so she will come home quicker! Once we were burglarized and our cat Effie, went missing for three days. We think she had gotten into the burglars truck and then got out a few miles away when they hit another house. She was some pissed off when she came home.

No Ruby as of today
No sign of Ruby, we fear something got her the night she got out.
Balmoral has a big feral cat population, left to multiply by owners who should not have gotten a cat. I would like to start a catch, neuter and spay and release program to try and get it under control. People may feed them, but until the population is under control, it will only increase. |
