What a great selection of menus!
I thought of this thread when I read this article on Boston.com. It talks about how many restaurant websites are really bad and that their menus are often outdated or very hard to find. When I help businesses with internet and website issues I try to convince them that investing in their websites is as important as anything else they do. Unfortunately some businesses don't seem to understand that and instead have their brother-in-law or other amateur throw something together that does not reflect well on their business (or restaurant). Thanks to everyone who posted menus (especially you RG). |

I wholeheartedly agree about the websites and menus.
If a restaurant does not have a website, they should at least hit the websites that do the reviews and post their menus there. That is simple enough to do. Just wondering... how user friendly are the menus that I have posted in this thread for those on iPhone and BlackBerry and such? The Kitchen Cravings menu has been updated to a more readable menu. We appreciate your hard work very much and look forward to visiting some of these places we haven't tried yet! Wouldn't it be great if the restaurant owners kept their menus up to date on a blog like this? ![]() THANKS A GAZILLION!!!

This is a great idea but, as it grows, very difficult to navigate. How about a location on the website to post PDFs of menus, with an index? Can even be kept up to date by the restaurant owners.

I do have a new feature I'm working on that will create a separate restaurant area that allows ratings and other information in a nice format. The menu links can be included although I don't think there is a way for the restaurants to update them themselves.
I've been playing with it for quite a while but I'm not sure when it will be made public. |

I do have more menus that could be posted, but now that it has been a while, I am not sure how current they are. Scanning, uploading etc. takes a lot of time to do and I do not know if it is worth it to me. I do like having them as pictures, rather than a link to another site or just text. There is also the issue that my menu pictures take a long time to upload for members to view. Just not sure if This thread should get longer.
Feedback anyone?

It's one of dozens of things I experiment with in my spare time. I've revisited it several times but now the author seems to have abandoned it and it is no longer supported. I'd still like to use it but it may not be worth the time since it's already obsolete.
When I have a chance I'll look for another alternative. |
