Amen and thank you to the Gilford selectmen for having the brains to make this decision. Their position is exactly the same position and opinion that the Laconia City Council should have made, but they didn't. Instead, they stepped way out of bounds and took a position for the speed limits, even without a vote from the residents and taxpayers.

Exactly - kind of similar to separation of church & state. The town has no business taking sides on the speed limit issue. Just as Laconia had no business taking sides on the speed limit issue.
