Default Camp, cottage, condo, association...

I was looking for an affordable seasonal place for around 30-50 thousands dollars. I am a young guy with a young family and want to try and get on the big lake in a starter type residence. If anyone knows of any associations or campgrounds that offer these types of properties could you help me out.

Thanks I really appreciate it.

My recommendation for that kind of money what you should look at is a season campground. Many of the campgrounds have seasonal sites, that you "lease" from them on a year to year basis. You can pick up a decent used Travel trailer for 10 - 20 grand, and have it put on site.

The draw back is you have to pay for the site every year. But really all in all its not as bad as taxes.

I know for certain the Pine Woods Campground in Moultonborough has a few seasonal sites available.

Sounds like you are interested ina condominium camp ground where you are purchasing an interest in the camp ground. Check out arcadia in moultonborough. you can buy a property interest (site) for 50-90k and then all you pay is condo fees ($1000/year) and taxes $1200/year roughly. plenty of amenities...boat ramp, docks, beach, privacy (gated) etc...Check them out

I stayed at Paugus Bay Campground years ago and they always have campsites for sale. Be warned though the campers that are on the sites are not pretty, but it gets you in the door. The other thing there is the boats cannot be bigger than 18', I think because you need to go under the railroad bridge. I have a friend that was there for 12 years and another that just took over his parents site. It is a little hilly depending on where your site is. Its right outside of Wier's Beach.
