eagles nest
So we were tooling around in the boat this afternoon, and went by Blueberry Island where a friend had told us he spotted a nesting pair of eagles. Sure enough, we found the nest on the broads side of the island, both parents there, with what we think were two juveniles. One of the parents flew off the nest quite close to us,,,,,,,,,,,Amazing! Has anyone else seen the nest? If you have a good long lens on your camera, you can get in pretty close by boat........probably get some great shots.

They have been nesting in that general area for at least 3 years with pictures on this forum. Better not to suggest visitors (discuss location) else they (the eagles) will go elsewhere.

good advice.........
but, there were three boats rafting off the island right around the corner from the nest, and it did not appear to be bothering them. We will keep our distance.........
