I forgot that part in my post. Dad was always "don't leave fresh picked corn in the plastic bags, and don't shuck it until the water is boiling and you're ready to drop it into the pot"

Got some yesterday at Hannaford's from Pearl Farm in Belmont. It was very good.....slightly starchy, it was probably picked the day before, but still better than what I've had recently from the area.
