Thanks!
Thanks for the reminder R.G.! I just made our reservations for Saturday night. This will be a little special as my niece is hosting a 16 year old foreign exchange student from Germany and they will be joining us!

I really recommend the Luzerner Pastetli.
The best 5.95 you will spend on an appetizer. Big enough to share. |

Delicious!!
We took our niece and her German exchange student friend to the Tell on Saturday night. Everything was fantastic as usual! They even had an authentic German / bavarian accordion player all dressed up serenading the crowd. He was excellent and the life of the party!
R-Guy; we did the the Luzerner Pastelli as one of our appetizers as well as the Beignets. Both dishes are to die for!! Weinerschnitzel and Veal Matterhorn for our mains which were delicious and for desert Apple Streudel which is only served during Oktoberfest and of course I had to get the Snowballs. Both deserts were out of this world! Enjoy Oktoberfest at the Tell!! Dan |

Thanks, RG!
We weren't in NH when you visited the William Tell last weekend. Hope to make it to Oktoberfest during this week. We did go to WT when your cute little friend Kevin was here in August. He now has a little brother, and all 3 kids wore their lederhosen. The pair that Kevin is wearing were handed down from me and gtxrider. My great-aunt brought them from Germany for me in 1953! His big sister & I enjoyed the snowballs, and Kevin & his baby brother had the Tobler cake. He even enjoyed the red cabbage & sauerbraten!

I'm jealous
Wish My grandparents had handed me down some. Leather sure is durable. Love that photo. I'm waiting for all 3 to do the Chevy Chase umpah dance!

Finally made it to Oktoberfest!
Had dinner tonight with 4 of my neighbors at the William Tell. A good way to spend the last night at the lake. The early bird special rouladen was excellent (or ausgezeichnet to all you Germans). The apple strudel was also a special treat. When we left at 6:30 pm the place was packed despite the heavy thunderstorm passing through. Looks like they're really doing well as the place has been fairly full each time we visited this summer.

Lederhosen for adults
Quote:
I do have an adult-sized pair of lederhosen that my cousin sent from Germany back in the 1980's. They're like new. Maybe I should donate them for the next Forum Fest raffle. |

My father treated the six of us--I have four young children--and my godfather to an Oktoberfest repast. It was great. It exceeded my expectations.
I was born in Germany, and my godfather--who is bilingual in German and English--whose name is Wolfgang, thought highly of the place. (He travels frequently to Germany to visit his mother and extended family.) My father likes it much better than the inn at Danbury. I had the sauerbraten. The veal tends to be a little dry wherever one has it. |
