http://www.ossipeemountainlandcompany.com/ I would have got some wood from them late last winter, as I had nearly run out, but the waiting list was several weeks long and I couldn't wait. I settled for a cord and a half from a tree service that was supposed to be seasoned for two years. About a third was nice and dry, a third ok if I mixed it with dry wood and kept the firebox hot, and the rest was so wet it could have squirted me in the face. The only way to get air-seasoned wood, it seems, is to season it yourself, always working a year ahead of use. |
