Smile Sailing See Captains, Lily Pond

Soooo wonderful to see the bright sun today, after all of the rain that has come fourth here lately... I had to work for a while this morning, and then I was off to the races to do some shopping before a trip south to my daughters for the Holliday and took my camera with.... Low and behold, this day would just keep on getting brighter!

Here is, just a smigion of what I encountered this day!... The story will continue, from a long list of very blessed people, "I say".. Stay tuned

TRfour, don't you just LOVE watching those sailboats racing on Lily Pond? Years ago I would stop and watch for an hour or so. Sadly, these days there's no time for that.

You did indeed have an exciting day, and EXTRAORDINARY TIMING to boot! I'm so sorry I was so busy when you were visiting today, but I am delighted that you were there at that exact moment!

Next time you're in the neighborhood, stop by so I can give you the hug I missed giving you today. Everybody else got theirs, so I really owe you one now!

Default Laconia Model Yacht Club

FYI the Laconia Model Yacht Club races at the Lily Pond in Gilford every Saturday morning 9am to noon during the season, weather permitting. Also we have regattas scheduled for Sunday June 12, 2005 and August 21, 2005 where skippers from beyond our local area will come and vie for millon dollar prize money complete with ESPN coverage. Okay, perhaps there will be small trophies and no TV coverage. But it should still be a good time.

We encourage people to come and watch and take one of the boats for a spin. The boats have no engines and only 2 controls. Sails in/out and rudder right/left.

We sail Soling One Meter boats. More info at http://www.solingonemeter.org/

The Skippers in the picture are from left to right:

Jon Rochlis, Joe San Antonio, Ned Lakeman, Bill Hagerup.

Boat # 777 was built by Anne Lavin, #484 by Jon Rochlis.

We hope to see you at the Pond.

I am at my Daughter's, this day, and she has so enjoyed our family out here!

! missed a hug from you and even waited for a while after I got my order, "The Line Was Just too Long!"... But I can tell you that the great warmth and love that everyone whom visits feels, stays with, and you know that we will be back for more!!... Just a neat and very special place to meet, and enjoy! See you soon, my friend!

Love,
T.
