Rcvd the Garmin 2450LM GPS as XMAS gift. Can I load the Bizer lake chart into it and have it work.
Thanks Dave M |

If you go to Bizer's site, you should be able to download a sample. If you can see the sample, you should be able to download the map.
When I did that, I had to zoom in a lot to see the map. If it is an auto GPS, realize you probably will not be able to set up routes, and there will be no bread crumb trail to follow back. With my Street Pilot, I set my dock as a location, and when sitting in the middle of the broads, I selected my dock at Parkers as a location. When I hit "go", it said to drive to highlighted route (rte 11) and then turn left! ![]() Did use the map with good success until I got my 76cx a year ago. Still use it and love the Bizer. Good luck.

It was probably set to 'car' mode. My GPS lets me choose different transportation modes, (car, walking, etc) and that changes the path it chooses.

The only changes you can make is to select whether it is being used in a car, truck, bus, taxi...not walking.
Unit actually is rather bulky at about 4 inches or so square and about 2.5 inches thick. Thanks for the thought though, Patman. Dave: here's a link to Bizer's site: http://bizer.com/ then look down the left for GPS info, then click on the bizer.com/garmin link. Looks like a nice unit. One problem I had with my streetpilot was seeing it in bright sunlight. Hopefully your unit will be better in sunlight. Again..good luck.

I checked the garmin site and found the Lake Winnipesaukee. If you checked the Q & A it notes that this mapping has limited compatibility. Also states it just shows basic shoreline and depths details. I did check my specs and I have 1000 waypoints with 100 routes. It looks I can flip over to use for boating, etc. Also I can adjust brightness on my unit. Will have to check out Bizer. My unit takes a SD card so that would work out great.

I have a Garmin Nuvi 500 and a Garmin GPS Map 60CSX and Bizers map on the micro SD works nicely in both. It took a little messing around to get it to work properly on the Nuvi but it does.
