Does anyone have any experience with a dependable local business that does Mobile Home repairs.
Our place by the lake needs a new tub, the old one has to have the "Tub/Shower surround" replaced. I've checked the web, the Winni.com classifieds, and the yellow pages and can only find one outfit locally that does "Mobile Home" service and repairs. Problem is, the normal sized tubs and surrounds you can buy at Lowe's or Home Depot simply won't fit into some of the older, (like mine) Mobiles. Any help or advice appreciated.

HI,
We use B&B RV out of Ossippee. His name is Bob Burton and he does alot of warrantee work for Rv's and Park models. Not sure how different they are from an actual mobil home if different at all. Bob has always done great work and fairly priced. He goes to Florida for the winter and is due back soon. I will look for the number but it should be listed in the area. HCG |

There is a guy in Gilford who has a mobile RV repair service near the town center. He works on mobile homes and R.V's. I have used him a couple times in the past when I had a motorhome and was quite pleased with his work. For the life of me I can't remember his company name but he is definitely in Gilford. Maybe a call to a local RV park or campground would get you his name and number. Dan |

Some (not all) of the single or double modulars are of a different genre.
One would think that all of the appliances, faucts, heating, etc. would be standard industry components. I did live in one home that in the main bathroom the tub was 4 1/2 feet long while most are 5 feet. I had to dig real deeply to find a replacement 4 1/2 foot tub and surround. If the manufacturer of the modular is still in business - give them a call as they will have records and lists of suppliers or alternatives. If the selling dealer is still in business then give them a call. Or any selling dealer for that matter. |
