Usually Wolfeboro and Meredith have fireworks the night of the Fourth. Both are very good shows from the water. Alton has their show at midnight on July 3rd, again very visible from the bay.

Laconia's are not over the water. I don't know about other towns.

Check the calendar on this site for times and more info.

I think Alton's are at 930 and midnight at the Weirs.

Center Harbor has theirs on the 4th, shortly after 9pm. Taking that in by boat is really nice. Just don't be in a hurry to get home afterward, from any of the displays on the lake. Between the large number of boats that need to spread out and all the boat wakes, and all of this in darkness, you need to pay close attention to everything around you. It's worth it, though.

So for those who have been out before, which one would you recommend? And where should you view from?

Thanks in advance!

I like Meredith on the 4th. I also hold back some and wait out to the side a bit until most of the boats have left the area. I tried to get out right after the show once and it was more than an adventure.

Thank you. As for Meredith, where in the bay is the best place to go, assuming you drop anchor?

It is rather hard to drop anchor unless you stay on the right as you come into the bay near the beginning of the no wake zone.

Good luck!
