After being a patient in the LRGH, I will never go there again! I had contracted a digestive infection, that hit me like a ton of bricks, and ended up in their facility for 7 days. The doctor was rude, and the nursing staff that I encountered, all except a few, were clueless. I was told there was a doctor standing by, to operate on me. My doctor back in Mass.said absolutely no way, don't let them! My doctor's specialty, is Gastro. Now who would you trust? I literally had PTSD, when I got home. I couldn't talk about my experience, without crying! It was like a Steven King novel! I was recently sent a survey by, Thomas Clairmont, President of LRGH. You know I filled that out! Sorry, I would rather drive back to Mass. for my healthcare, or go to Concord, if I can't make it! BY the way I'm not a kid, I'm a healthy 50+ yr. old female , who's not a wimp! Just Sayin

From the Consumer Reports on line web site (subscription required):

Huggins did not have enough data for a number score rating as was the case for all NH hospitals except the eleven listed. Huggins had insufficient data on: avoiding infections, avoiding complications and avoiding mortality. This lack of data precluded an overall numerical score.
Huggins was below average for avoiding readmissions and for communications about discharge and drug info.
