Default Trader Joe's - Newington

I was in Newington yesterday at the Kohl's plaza. There's a big 'Trader Joe's opening soon' sign on the construction fence where pet quarters was. The facade is being redone, and the store interior looked to be gutted. September maybe?

If I remember right, it's just a little north of Boston.

I think that was a bit of tongue in cheek, being that Newington has nothing to do with the lakes region...

Default Trader Joe's opening soon

Sign posted on the door of the Newington store last night says "Grand Opening Friday Sept. 7th". It's in the same plaza as Borders and Best Buy, but on the other side of the parking lot (between Dick's Sporting Goods and Staples).

I work in Newington and Trader Joe's is next to Staples where the pet shop used to be and so far they are on track for their grand opening.

It's worth the drive down there just to stock up on stuff that you don't find in the other chain stores. They have a line of healthy prepared frozen entree's and veggies that is quite good. Also,Trader Joe's chardonney at $5 is wonderful.
We also stock up on Trader Joe's green tea mints.....so tasty and actually good for you.Yum.

Default 'Two Buck Chuck'

Here is a little history of the $1.99 per bottle at Trader Joes:

We'll have to wait to see how much it will cost in Newington. How much is it now in MA?

Default Trader Joe's

I have shopped at other Trader Joe's, and, to be 100 % truthful, I didn't find a big difference in retail quality, but what Trader Joe's has going for them is their name - TRADER JOE'S - it has such a nice ring to it (if that's what you want).

I am sorry to rain on somebody's parade, just my occasional $0.02 worth.

To make this thread relevant : )

I soooo wish Trader Joes (or Fiddleheads) had bought Hunters, it has turned into a HUGE dissapointment. I still drive to Alton for "Hannaford" food, Hunters is just not cuttin' it.

Arrow NH Trader Joe's

If you come up to the lake through Nashua, we have a brand new Trader Joe's that just moved over the border from Tyngsborough. This store does sell wine. (And delicious gluten free chocolate chip cookies! )

262 Daniel Webster HWY
Nashua, NH 03060
603-888-5460

Exit 36 or exit 1 will get you there.
Going straight through, Exit 36 will put you at The Pheasant Lane Mall that has lots of great stores. This mall is connected to the one where Trader Joe's is.

Love trader Joe's. Use to go to the Nashua one when we lived in the southern part of the state. and To the Burlington one. Either way its worth the drive!

Went to the Trader Joe's in Newington yesterday. Nice store with plenty of helpful and friendly folks working there. It does sell wine and beer :-)

I agree. A was a loyal customer of IGA since I moved to Wolfeboro 11 years ago. I loved the Hunter family and their efforts to get any product you requested. The new store has far better prices, but everytime I've been there, I can't find something that I need and have to go to Harvest to get it. I think my in town shopping will now go to Harvest, with more trips to the out of town markets.
