Default Ozarks Shootout

I just got back from the Shoot Out and the highest speed recorded/reported by any boat was 192 MPH! And there were a number of pontoons that exceeded 100 MPH. Quite a wild race. Their Water Police, as they are called, must have had their hands full. THere were hundreds of boats rafted together in an area half as wideas the Broads.

WHen the race was over at about 5 PM, WP seemed to give up as all of the boats took off down the lake. That is when all hell broke loose. The waves created by the boats leaving had no where to go between the high banks on each side, so it boiled up and threw boats all over. It was a wild ride. We pulled the 38 foot boat we were riding on into a bar to give the lake time to settle down.

Interesting day!
