Default Gilford

Power, cable A-OK as of 9 pm. Wind seems to be down a bit, but still occasional big gusts. Rain is harder than an hour ago, about 7 on a scale of 10.

Default No Power on Welch

My camera went down on Welch around 6:00 P.M. also.

Any info on power outages in the Gilford Ellacoya area?

Thanks!

Thumbs up M'boro 9:15PM - All is well

Tonight, we've seen lots of wind, sustained in the 20-30 mph range, with a few higher gusts. Rain on and off, but too bad. Lots of power glitches, but nothing over a few seconds. Overall, minor impact so far.

Default The Broads, Tuesday AM

Few pictures from this morning.

A couple of breaks in the sky, still windy, but nothing like last night.

No power loss or visible damage by Christmas Island. My beach is on the north side of Paugus Bay so any wind was blowing away from us. It seemed the strongest band of wind/rain was through the 10:00 hour last night.
There were two loons riding out the storm (four, if you include my wife and I ) just off our dock. I watched and listened to them for a half hour. It was quite a change from the norm for me. I am very used to being stuck at the fire station for storms like this. Sitting on a dock instead of a fire truck is much better!

Not trying to get this too side tracked from the lakes region, but I thought I'd share a picture from a web cam here in the NC mountains. The town of Blowing Rock to be specific. I was tempted to make the 3 hr drive just to go play in the snow.

Looks like power was restored on Welch around 5:00 P.M. yesterday.

We were on Chase 2 days ago. Although we didn't walk the whole island we didn't see anything obvious when we drove around by boat.
The power was out but came back on yesterday.
Lot's of debris, though. The storm wind seemed to come out of the east so I think the western side was protected.

Thanks for the report chaselady. We are on the east side, but it sounds like no unexpected problems for us. Thanks again.
