Power is out on the back side of Merrymeeting Lake.

I still have a 17' row-canoe, 13' sailboat, & outboard boat on my dock and boatlift so I flipped the canoe upside down, threw some extra lines around all the boats to secure them to the dock, plus raised up the boatlift and raised up the outboard so's it would be up out of the water. Last night was definately the windiest, blowiest, big white-water, roller waves coming directly at my location from the south, that I have ever seen in 20-years, since 1992. It was one windy night, with white cap waves rolling in all night, and the whole cottage was shaking from the wind and rain.....but....thankfully there was absolutely no damage what-so-ever except for some tree blow-down branches....big healthy oak trees probably have roots that run deep.....plus I removed an outside 10x10' Wal-mart canopy cover otherwise that would have got shreaded as a similar one did last year.

Right now, that big yellow ball called the sun is back, and the lake has calmed down....

I was at least a little worried that my 16' aluminum outboard boat would get shaken off its perch on the boatlift, but that never happened!

.........

And, two hours later, it is once again dark grey clouds, wind picking up, and raining, plus the electricity is still out.

..........

4:30-pm ...and the power is back on........probably totally due to my recently paying my past due electric bill ... ... !

I'm surprised you did not camp out on the WalMart parking lot and hook up your electricals to the light post.

Ha, Ha, Ha, I can see it now.
Local who believed he could homestead in Gilford was removed to the local homeless shelter after being taken to LRGH for psychiatric evaluation.
Did I leave anything out?
