Default Surf Coaster or Whale's Tale?

Our annual trip is coming up, and for the past few years we've been going with the kids to the Volcano water slides at Weirs. This year we thought about checking out one of the bigger parks. Can anybody comment on either the Surf Coaster just off the Weirs main drag or the Whale's Tale up country?

Thx

Wink Water Parks...

Never been to Whale's Tale but Surf Coaster is good. Expensive, but good. You can leave the park and come back the same day, which is nice. And the after 2 pm entry price is decent compared to the whole day price. I think the prices are along the lines of $26 for a full and $17 for after 2. I guess it depends are where you're staying too. The two parks are a good distance away from each other. If you have young kids the extra time in the car may be better spent in which ever park you pick. Good luck!

Surf Coaster doesn't allow anything to be brought in - nothing (to eat or drink that is.) At least last time I was there that was their policy. The Whales Tail does allow lunch/coolers to enter the park saving you tons of money. They also do stamp your hand and allow you to come and go. Sure it's a bit of a drive but I'd definitely visit the Whales Tale.

Default Surf Coaster

Definitley Surf Coaster! They have way more to choose from(kiddie area, wave pool, four regular water slides, one tube slide, and two really fast drop slides.)If you go for the second part of the day, after lunch at two, like we do, you do not need to bring food. If you do go for the whole day, you could take a break and have a picnic at your car, or even better, hit Waldo Pepper's for the best food around!

Try Water Country down just south of Portsmouth on route 1. Little bit further drive but 3 times the amount of slides and things to do. It was about $30 a person for the day, but well worth it. Not that much further than Whale's Tail.

Ahh Surf Coaster is great! I've never been to Whale's Tail, but I've seen it driving by and I have to say it doesn't look like as good a time as Surf Coaster always is!
