The weather and height of the sun make it seem as if spring is soon upon us. Not too early to begin the annual Ice out watch. I am getting antsy to get out on the lake and I suspect others are as well. Let's see more pictures of the lake opening up.

Codeman, that is OPEN water all the way out. It's open to about 150' + from the shoreline and is also opened up along the shoreline really well. The lake temperature hit 37 degrees yesterday and is holdin there. Let's hope it can hold and maybe jump up sooner than later. ![]() ![]()

Today is the last day of mild temps for a while. We will be going into a cooler than normal period until at least the middle of next week. We also have a "decent" shot at more storminess in the Mon-Wed timeframe. Once again the "EURO" weather model has been locked on to another east coast storm for several runs now. It remains to be seen how this plays out early next week but it could easily be snow for the Lakes region.

When Island Girl is ready, she will put up the "official" Ice Out page that we all look forward to. She's the expert and it's her call...who are we to mess with it???

Not sure if you know it or not but the entire lake is now a sheet of ice. Very little if any snow remains on the lake.
