Here's one more picture.. he looks "longer" and "sleeker", in the body than a beaver. Plus, when it got to shore it disappeared into the rocks along Scenic road.
I've seen beavers that were huge, easily two to three foot long bodies. One that was alive, the other dead on the side of the road. Since leg hold traps have been banned here in the Massachusetts the beaver population has exploded. The big ones look like they could turn over my car if they wanted.
