Woodshed
My wife and I purchased our summer home this march and have been slowly eating our way around the lake. The woodshed was very good tonight. I had the prime rib and she had. The halibut. What other treasures are around the lake?

We live in Melvin Village. We have our favorites in the winter and the summer. Where is your cottage?

Forum
I might suggest using this forum as your guide, look through this section... you'll certainly have an idea of the good ones and not so. You'll even know the warts of the good ones
I would try (in no order): Lavinias Canoe Corner House Inn (Sandwich) Wolfeboro Inn The Restaurant Lemongrass Tavern 27 As you can see, I live on the north side of the Lake |

Woodshed Saturday night
We also went to the Woodshed Saturday night and found it to be very good.We had a very nice waitress(looked like Sandra Bullock) and the food was right on point. I will say that I got the heavy cut prime rib and it was a little fatty but other than that it was cooked just as I like it, my wifes was perfect. Also got the PEI oysters for an app that were very tasty. Of course as everthing the price has gone up $29.00 for the heavy cut but it still is a nice peice of beef. I know someone will say something about the price but the price of beef has been going up for a while. I still miss seeing Lynn there for you people who have been going for a while.

My wife and I went to the Woodshed on Friday of the Labor Day weekend and had a wonderful meal. I had the prime rib and lobster tail and the wife had the rack of lamb. She was very happy to see that the rack of lamb was back on the menu. Both of us have always enjoyed the Woodshed. Our only criticism is the past was the veggies were mediocre so we were pleased with the new sides of veggies. Our server was Danielle and she was excellent. All in all, it was a very very enjoyable evening. Two days later, three of our daughters and spouses also went and had meals that they raved about.

Other restaurants in Lakes Region
We've had several excellent dining experiences at Lavinia's in Center Harbor.
On the downside, we've been disappointed twice by O's in Lakeport. Noisy, poor service, entre good but not great, pricey. |
