the snow is a great indicator of what's froze out there... the latest view from Pine Island cam (looking due east toward's m'boro neck)...

Is frozen, this is the earliest I have seen since we bought in 2007.

I have pictures from last New Years of Paugus Bay ice and snow free. We are way ahead of last years ice in. Mild temps in the next few days but it looks like the ice is here!

Woke up this morning to see some nice ice forming even in the broads!

The first pic shows Esatern tip of Welch island on far left and Sandy island in the center.

The second pic show the South and West side of Welch. Looks like everything from Round island North is frozen in!

Hopefully the wind stays calm and does not blow it all away!!

Many, many thanks for all the updated info and pictures... please keep them rolling in! Seeing these helps overcome the disappointment of not being able to get to NH this winter...
