Yes I hear scratchers work great and would probably have them installed on my sleds if I didn't have a secondary way out on the ice (4 wheelers).

I was out this weekend. Rode around Meredith, then back from Meredith to Weirs. It's ok for the most part, but there are frozen tracks that could very easily toss your sled. Any entrance/exit to the lake it extremely bumpy with frozen tracks. Go slow there.

^ x2. i bought a sled on saturday, took it for a ride on sunday. hit the trails around the house (prison area) then went out on winnisquam. pretty rough out there but plenty of snow. frozen ruts all over the place making for a bumpy ride.
