To quote secondcurve. "NH Fish and Game does a nice job with limited resources." I agree! They have informative emails and post activities and outdoor opportunities quite frequently. They should be proud of their role in Gov't.

Ticks are the biggest problem with the NH moose population. The moose are so heavily covered with ticks, they scratch until their fur falls off. This leads to secondary infection and an increased die-off.
Read something from a state biologist that 150,000 ticks can be on a single moose. |

It's interesting that antler-less permits will be issued for game unit L. May have to try to get my hands on one of those.
The big problem in game unit M is posted property. State can't fix that. I'm surprised they are going to allow baiting of deer. That's cheating. |

I agree with the baiting, although it is somewhat troubling to think where this could go since I have seen the lengths some hunters will go to bag a deer.
