Yesterday as I was walking past the craft beer at my local Harvest Market, I spotted Winni Ale & Cog IPA! It's times like these that I wish that I didn't have to be gluten free.
![]() I found a pretty good YouTube review: http://youtu.be/Z9qBr_kR5_4 (Sorry that I cannot figure out how to embed the video from my iPad. ![]() |

As you can see, it's brewed in Londonderry (as result of a recent location move). Just so happens that I have a six pack on had to facilitate this photo!!

We found Winni Ale in 6 packs at the Hanniford on Alton, but not in Gilford. Now I wouldn't go so far as to say that Alton is more discriminating than Gilford, but......
As I just noted Schuster's has Winni Ale on tap as well as the 603 pumpkin ale. http://www.winnipesaukee.com/forums/...ad.php?t=17978 OK, I guess that Schuster's is in Gilford. Oh I forgot, I asked for 603 in Patrick's last week and the barkeep said that she had never heard of it. |

New less expensive can tech has given rise to craft beers being able to can there beer.
Canning is better no light no air. (I am sure people argue the opposite but the science speaks for itself) and anyhow all craft beers should be poured into a proper glass. |

I was surprised as well. However I always pour into a glass anyway the taste was on a par with the draft version we have had at Schuster's, Woodlands and for a short time at T-bones. So it turned out to be a pleasant surprise.

I found 603 over the summer (West Alton Marina sold it), and they keep adding to the variety. Good beer.

Being on the island, that made it an easy choice... much less weight to carry in and carry off island to recycle... and the number of beers now available in cans is amazing... old standbys like Sam Adams... and newcomers like 603... Mmmmm on this nice cold day, I'm thinking a Scottish Ale would be just right! -PIG |
