The power was on around 2PM on the Broads side of the island today.

Assuming the power is on, my webcam is still down (others are too), I called fair point to see if they could tell me if there was an outage, they couldn't. They did let me suspend my service until I am able to sit in front of the modem and provide diagnostics. Has anyone else called on this issue (assuming all of the cams are down for the same reason)?
I so wanted to see ice in! |

Webbsatwinni, Ive been assuming that the power is still off on RSI given that yours and the Snake Eyes web cams are both down. When you spoke with NHEC .... did they say that they were going to be doing anything about the apparent outage?

The co op told us that the island had power, WIS confirmed this above. So assuming we have power, that means the dsl is down (i have a timer on my modem and webcam to reset nightly as we learned was needed last year). Either way, fair point allowed us to suspend service until either is back saving me a few boat gas dollars for next year ;-). We can take the crownline over to check if you want to go.

If anyone is going out there I would like to tag along. Can't they just reboot the DSL to the island.

I’d be happy to help get the web cams back online before ice-in. I pulled the barge at the end of last week because of ice in Minge Cove and WAM. If you guys wanted to organize a day when everyone would be able to go out to the island to reboot their cams I can help with transportation.
We’ll have to keep our eye on the weather and wind speed but we should be able to launch possibly at the Rattlesnake ramp or in Alton Bay or Wolfeboro if they remain open. Feel free to send me an email mike@winnipesaukeeis.com or give me a call on my cell @ 603-707-4677 if anyone wants to organize the trip.
