Ice as far as you can see from Smith Point (not including water at end of dock). Looking NNW towards Broads/Long Island and NE between Rattlesnake and Sleepers

When is Ice Out???

For the first time in three years the ice in this area has froze normally and in unison with the rest of the area.

Perhaps the recent earthquake shut down the volcanic plume that was heating the water right there.
