The ice depth is still 0 inches, because it floats, but the thickness is about 13 inches. Sorry capewx, I just couldn't help myself. Cabin fever, you know.

NP, I thought the floating Ice would be a lot thicker by now....

Don't use my wild guess of thickness as a guide, I was more intent on my wise.ss reply as to the depth. Thanks for understanding.

As of last weekend, most of the open areas have about 13"-14" of ice. This extreme snow is really insulating the ice from freezing quicker. I bet if we didn't have snow we would have about 3' of ice by now with these temps!
