Default Video of Winnipesaukee ice from April 12th

This video was recorded April 12th. Lots of changes since then but a great video showing our frozen lake!

Credit Bill Hemmel for the great shots.

Paugus is black. The coves are clear. There are open water cracks across the ice. It's now a few very large slabs that have not drifted too much. Some wind out of the SW tomorrow will have my attention. Not sure about ice free. 24 hours will tell a lot. I have 40 degree water temp @1.5'.

I sent you a PM with some info on your docks.

My recollection from many years of watching the water temperature is this: It seemed like every year that I put my boat in within a few days of ice out the first temperature reading on the depth finder was 42 degrees and that was very consistent, year after year.

If you have 40 degrees now then it is very close! Bring on summer!
