Talking Great News!

A little while back, I posted in the Island Living Questions thread that we were going to sell the camp. We came to our senses and have decided to stay on Rattlesnake Island for a while longer!!!

My heartfelt thanks go out to our agents, Nancy and Doug DePorter. They are a wonderful team and we appreciate all the hard work that they did on our behalf. They were very understanding about us deciding not to sell at this time. Being islanders themselves, they know how difficult it would be to sell. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell in the Lakes Region. When the time comes to really sell our place, they are our only choice.

I look forward to this season at the lake and plan on making some changes to make our time there easier.... Mike's Winnipesaukee Island Services for opening and closing might be just the ticket! That way we won't have to impose on our sons for help.

See you at the lake!!!!!

So glad you made the decision to stay. WIS is the way to go and relieve you and Paul of the strains of opening and closing the cottage. Being at the lake is about relaxing and enjoying!

Smile Great News

RG. Are you adopting? At 62 I could be one of your sons to be burdened with opening your cottage.
This is spoken from one who soley took responsibility for opening and closing my uncles property in West Alton while still in the family for fear of it becoming a burden to him. Alas 2nd trophy wife took over a liquidated "the cottage" at auction.
There is not a day goes by that wife mate and I don't talk about the wonderful days at the cottage.

Logic has prevailed for you, but if you want to entertain that adopting thing....

LOL, Donzi Minx! That depends... are there grandchildren in this bargain?! We need some of those! We only have grand dogs and grand rabbits and they kinda fall short.

You should come by the island for a visit this season! We'd love to meet you and your wife mate.
(You just need to be unscented as I am super allergic.)

It's very sad your uncle's 2nd wife didn't fall for the lake like the rest of us have. How could that happen?!!! That's just uncomprehendable!

After his kidney cancer a year plus ago, we re-evaluated our life goals. Thought we'd buy a travel trailer and see the country. A perfect solution because I cannot fly due to an allergy/immune thing. Now we have too big of a yard in Hollis, (We got cold feet about selling that too. ) a boat, a camp, a PWC and now a camper. Paul and I really stink at this downsizing thing. What's wrong with us?!

Downsizing is highly overrated! At 5'6" I am a little sensitive about this.

Happy you made the right decision.

Default Good News indeed

Glad you and the other half decided to stay on the island. My fishing trips around Rattle Snake Island would have been a little less fun looking to see if I could see you down by the shore. Now Mrs ToW and my self can still look for you. And some day we might even find you at the shore.

Default Yea!

Glad you and Paul are staying a while longer. Once we get the PWC in the water I'll have to take a ride up. Can't wait to move back to camp soon.
