Faro Italian Restaurant
Last night on the way to Giuseppe's Pizzeria in Meredith we drove by Faro's in The Weirs and decided to stop in and try it instead. While waiting for a table I noticed a gentleman walk in, go behind the hostess' podium, speak with the hostess and then go into the kitchen, coming out about 10 minutes later. What made this gentleman stand out was his clothing; he was wearing Hell's Angels Connecticut MC colors on his back. Not the Local 81 shirt sold during Bike Week but what appeared to be the genuine rockers. He walked around like he owned the place.
As for the food and service; the service was very good. The bread was good; the homemade linguini was a bit bland and overcooked but the ziti was al dente. The chicken parm was tender. The portions were more than enough. Overall, though the menu prices seemed a bit strong compared to other Italian restaurants in the area (i.e. Fratello's or Giuseppe's).

Are they not allowed to own businesses?

Friend of the owners
That must have been Big Ed. He is not an owner but is really good friends with the owners and has been for years. He likes to lend a hand when things get busy. All of us locals know him, he's a really good guy.

Maybe he knows . . .
who the owners are and thought to bring it to light in the event of a "shake down". It does happen. You shouldn't read that much into it. IMHO

I think . . .
this post really pertained to the HA in the "house". It's my business to ascertain such things so it's the reason I'm jumping in.

I was there and saw him, too! Thought the same thing...I also was thinking that, and the wait staff, should be in anything but jeans..after all, aren't they going for a little upscale? The room to the far left should have some decor...sound deadening would be nice...waaay to loud in there..

Thanks Vita ....
I suspect he simply read it too quickly and missed the "Big Grin" and clearly RLW is asleep at the switch expected some sort of retort by now .
