The Margate
A group of us (4) went to the Margate for drinks and food like we always do . Well at five o'clock yesterday we sit and getting ready to order our waitress informs us the have no burgers not seafood and out of their signature speciality drinks! Come on its memorial weekend why are you out of 75% of the things you need to run a successful business? I guess if you go Monday they will have assorted cans of beer maybe some ice and chips from shawls. Get it together!

Margate Beach Bar
The Margate has been one of our favorite places to visit in the past, but at the end of last year we were informed that the Beach Bar was being closed to the public They were limiting the Beach Bar to resort guests only starting in 2015. We were told that if you did not present a room key in 2015 that you would not get any service and would be asked to leave. Have not been back since. We always enjoyed going there in the summer during the week to see a sunset and enjoy the view of Paugus. I do understand their desire to serve their resort guests first.

With the linited boat parking
You would think opening to the general public shouldn't be a problem?
I did park at the sand bar once and walk to the gazebo. No problem mon!

"the wizard festival"
burgers and beer at the "margate" on memorial day weekend? would have thought "patricks" 1st, maybe? considering the media and the margate had well published that a generation of harry potter fans were doing their " wizard festival" thing at a fully booked hotel, not surprised that burgers may have been sold out.
