Default Wasr Radio Station

Does anyone know what's going on with the Wolfeboro radio station, WASR?

Their daytime programming is comprised mostly of nationally syndicated talk shows with Fox Sports broadcast at night. On weekends they play "Oldies".

However, recently they seem to be having technical difficulties. Their satellite signal feeds frequently break up, much like what happens when listening to Sirius/XM radio in a vehicle when driving in the Lakes Region mountains. (Their actual 1420 AM broadcasts re-transmit these broken-up signals.) Also, their daytime syndicated talk show schedule is often replaced with "Oldies" music, such as is the case today.

This has been going on for quite some time. Does anyone know what WASR's situation is? Their website (www.wasr.net) makes no mention of these apparent problems.

I'm not attempting to criticize the station, just curious what's going on.

I don't know but Grant Hatch owns the station. He owns Sound Spectrum so maybe you could give him a call.
They have the music on weekends. Have they been having music during the week too?

I do know, I have tried to turn it on at 6 am and it is often very statically at that time lately.

Yes. Some days I'll turn the station on between 9 - 10am and Laura Ingraham's syndicated talk program will be on (which is the scheduled program at that time.) On other days, such as today, I'll tune in during that timeframe and the station will be playing "Oldies" instead.

Yup. His Dad owned it and passed away. It was a dream of his Dad's and I think that is why Grant wanted keep it. I must say though, the local news is not like it was when Alan and Sharon Severy owned it. They have local police news once in a while and that is about it.
