We've purchased a nice LP gas fireplace and need to have it properly installed before the snow flies. (SOON!) We're in Alton...
Recommendation, please.... Thank you! |

If that is not an option, you might try Woodmans Forge & Fireplace http://www.woodmansforgefireplace.com/ They do a lot of work in the area and are very well recommended by many. We had them install a propane hearth we bought from them and we are very happy with the results. |

We used Fire N Stone to do an installation of a unit but they do not do the hook up/propane lines. There is a separate license to do that work. They did coordinate it for me though.

or Jeffery Seymour. Both are registered propane and NG pipe layers. Because of liability don't expect a cheap fix!

Reputable sellers of gas fireplaces usually will do the installation, especially if the gas line is already run to where you want it installed.
We added 2 propane fireplaces and paid a plumber with a gas fitter's license to run the lines- you may also need electrical if your fireplace has a blower. Then we had the seller(s) place and install the units- first one by Energy Savers in Meredith and last one by Eased Edges in Laconia. You need to be especially careful in the installation if the unit is a sealed combustion unit with a single pipe to the outside, with an inner core and an outer core, one for bringing in air and one for exhausting combustion gases. The pipe needs to be properly sloped to avoid backflow of moisture from the combustion process. Some people have "ventless" units, with no vent to the outside, but we would not have them in our home. |
