Cedar Waxwings At The Weirs
I spotted a small flock (25-30) of Cedar Waxwings feasting on Winter Berry right at the new rotary by the Weirs. The light was terrible and it was drizzling out; still I love seeing them.
Just for comparison; below is an image I took a long time ago of a Bohemian Waxwing. Usually the Cedar WW is the slimmer of the two species. That being said, this Cedar WW was huge. II am not positive but I am fairly confident on the I.D.'s.

Was it Audubon who said " a bird in hand is better than 2 in the bush" or something like that, He obviously never saw your photos. Seeing a living bird so close with such clarity is amazing! you can make out every subtle detail and color. Thank you.

Fantastic!!!
You can even see the water droplets on the branches and leaves, and on the berry in the bird's beak!
Thanks for sharing.

Great photos
You always take such great pix. We watch the waxwings in Wolfeboro along the walkway that goes from railroad station along the back bay. They are beautiful. Spring is here!
