I am new to Winni and am looking for suggestions on a boat launch site. I am concerned about where to park my truck and trailer. Any suggestions? My boat is 21' if that matters.

I am coming from Nashua. I am looking to chill, check out the lake, and do some tubing. Its been several years since I owned a boat and am picking my new one up this week. I have spent a ton of time reading about navigating Winni and the various hazards that exist, but have not been able to find anything on best launch sites.

In my previous boating excursions (on west coast) parking was never an issue, but it seems like it is here. I just want to know what to expect. Thanks! |

Totally agree with ishoot with one minor modification .... it is the Silver Sands Motel that allows ramp & Park privileges not the Marina (next door)

Sadler, most of the town ramps up here will be charging $20.00 unless you have the appropriate resident sticker and no guarantee of a parking space. Therefore, the Fay's deal is a real bargain!!

Lee's Mills and States Landing in Moultonborough both have free launch ramps.

Not true - need to have the Moultonboro Dump/Beach sticker to park at State's Landing or they WILL ticket you (from experience and I even had the sticker on my truck!)

Thinking of launching at Shep Brown's tomorrow...anyone know their process and what is the earliest time you can launch?

We were thinking about heading up to the lake on Sunday.

I have the Bizer list of launches, but does anyone have some insight on which ones will fill up quickly on the weekends? Bringing the family, not sure what time we'll be able to get up there with all the kids, but it probably won't be a very early morning trip

I called Shep Brown's and finally, talked to a person this morning. You can launch any time of day (early morning no problem) and park your vehicle/trailer in a special lot a couple hundred yards away. Either pay the $20 when you launch or later as you load out...basically an "honor" system.

They share their ramp with the town of Meredith. |
