Saltmarsh Pond Gilford
I plan to fish on Saltmarsh Pond in Gilford. ...Will be fishing from shore.... can folks tell me best access points. Will be fishing with spincast equipment but may also bring my flyrod along so will need room without trees or obstacles.
Thanks for your feedback.! |

I have always had luck on the right hand side of the pond... There is a bunch of poison ivy so be careful and bring bug spray... I've used a slip sinker with orange power so it hovers above the bottom.... Good luck and if nothing at Saltmarsh head to gunstock pond for fly fishing plenty of room and hungry trout

Thanks Martbri7 for the advice....
Regarding Saltmarsh Pond you stated "I have always had luck on the right hand side of the pond"...... On the right side of pond there are signs by the boat launch saying 'Private Property-Keep Out'..... Is all the shoreline of Saltmarsh Pond accessible to the public, even the side that says 'Private Property' ? Hoping that's the case? I fished the left side of boat ramp up to the large rock about 100 yds from ramp, very deep, there, but w/o any luck ! |
