Only in some towns. If you look at this list, they are allowed in a lot of the lake towns. Wolfboro and Alton say prohibited but there's a minimal chance a private home's display on the lake is going to be shut down on the 4th of July weekend.

EDIT: We've been doing our own display at the house since we could start buying them in NH. No traffic, always a good seat and some of our neighbors have jumped into the tradition as well so we end up with a pretty good show in our cove.
