LCD TV freezing

We want to bring up an older flat screen TV and leave over the winter. Our cottage is unheated and wanted to know if it will be damaged over the winter. I thought there was a thread on this topic but couldn't find it.

My father, my friends, and we leave ours at camp over the winter and no problems in multiple years. Unheated, and uninsulated, as well.

No problem at all. Been doing it for years with no issue...

I do recommend letting it get to room temperature first before turning on if you visit your cottage in the winter...

Is that more for guarding against making condensation?I always thought this was more geared toward plasma.

I have also don't this for many years with no problem except once. I had a small lcd tv that I left in a bay window over the winter and it stopped working . I suspect it was colder and the wind but the one on the credenza has never had a problem . I small one I now rap up in a blanket and it has been fine the last two years
