We want to bring up an older flat screen TV and leave over the winter. Our cottage is unheated and wanted to know if it will be damaged over the winter. I thought there was a thread on this topic but couldn't find it.

http://www.winnipesaukee.com/forums/...ht=flat+screen Yes you can't search for LCD TV, terms omitted as too short by the less than brilliant search engine. |

I do recommend letting it get to room temperature first before turning on if you visit your cottage in the winter... Dan

Is that more for guarding against making condensation?I always thought this was more geared toward plasma.

I have also don't this for many years with no problem except once. I had a small lcd tv that I left in a bay window over the winter and it stopped working . I suspect it was colder and the wind but the one on the credenza has never had a problem . I small one I now rap up in a blanket and it has been fine the last two years
