I hope it's going somewhere that makes sense for a boat like that.

Default ..... FEEL the BERN

Bernie Sanders just bought a summer home in August in North Hero, VT on Lake Champlain with 500' of shoreline. So's Bernie could either dock it, or let it swing on a mooring, or do both, depending on the weather ..... and rename the 53' 'Summa Humma' with a new name; 'Feel the Bern.'

'FEEL the BERN' seems like a good fit on the transom of a 53' Carver.....don't u know!

Bernie did that?

But I thought he was just an average guy, with average tastes, and average net worth. I wonder where he suddenly got a bunch of money?

Must be just an average 500' of coastline!

Default ...... FEEL the BERN, Bernie!

Bernie's new vacation home is on an island in Lake Champlain, in North Hero, Vermont, and it supposedly faces the Vermont side of the lake, or something, with 500' of shoreline. So, Bernie has become an islander!

www.heroswelcome.com

Most likely, docking a 53' boat there could be a problem that would require a rugged new dock, while tying up to a mooring would be less expensive to construct, and more doable.

Come on Bernie......just imagine your new, used 53' Carver motor yacht named FEEL the BERN .....with FEEL the BERN lettered in gold and green letters ....across the stern transom.....wow....just FEEL the BERN.

As an age-75, long time Vermont senator, congressman, and Mayor of Burlington, Vt; he probably gets a super-duper pension or two, or three, and could probably make a 53' Carver motor yacht be a very happening boat out on the big, big water of beautiful Lake Champlain.

Anyone recall the movie 'Weekend at Bernie's' from 1989...... well.....with a Carver 53' motor yacht....it could be time to redo a new movie.... titled.... 'Another Weekend at Bernie's.'

Thanks Don --

It was the boats name that was throwing me off in the original post !!

Now I TOTALLY got it !!

Newbies -- second hint, Governor's Island (think about FL#2 as you pass it) !!

But in fairness, it hasn't been there in years

p.s. -- I thought it was bad "Ju-Ju" to rename a boat !

Default 2 different Boats?

The pictures of the Carver posted at the beginning of this thread and then ones at Silver Sand do not look like the same boat?? Different names "My Other Summa Humma", then "Relaxation" and the back looks to be a little different.

Of course the name may have changed, but it does not look to be the same, but then again I could be wrong.

It's the same one. The original owner (Summa Humma) sold it years ago.

Perfect spot for it. That would be a really nice boat to live aboard while exploring the east coast, the great lakes, the NY state canal system, the St. Lawrence River, the Trent Severn, and Lake Champlain. To me, it seemed like a total waste of its capabilities to have it on a 72 square mile land-locked lake. That said, I feel the same way about my own little 25 footer, which is why I keep it on a trailer and use it all over.
