Anyone have a suggestion on where to buy one of these or something similar in the Lakes Region?

When I had one, I bought it at Production Trailer and Dock in Meredith. It's a great raft!

My only comment on swim rafts is that the further the raft surface is above the water, the less likely water fowl like ducks and geese are to regularly hang on it and "foul" it.

Greetings and Welcome to the Forum. The rafts look pretty nice in the website pictures. Better anchor with chain to prevent it from "drifting" in the dark of night.

I believe you need a permit for rafts.

No you do not....as long as it is placed within 150' of the high water mark and in front of your property. It also can not impede boat traffic.

Try Watermark on Union Ave Laconia (across from MacDonalds). They will deliver and install too. As Dan said you do not need a permit

I've had one for 6 or 7 years and they are of good quality. They will warp a bit over time but nothing drastic. Several local marinas sell them.

Perhaps you could go to Walmart and purchase some noodles. Just run fishing line through the middle and tie them together....

We purchased ours at Center Harbor Dock and Pier, no permit required. Don Casey and his team are great to work with.

That's right.....for about $15 for 300' of rope, and a visit to the town transfer station.....you can make the greatest swim raft ever made with second hand styrofoam, lumber, and foam noodles.....plus a genuine, wooden plank diving board....... el ka-boooomi

Wait: Why go to the transfer station. Can't you get most of the required scrap parts and lumber from Meredith Bay? |
