I'm looking at a new Crownline E4 with the new MC 6.2L. I've spoken to my good friend and mentor he likes the choice. I'd like to hear from any E4 owners on there experiences with theirs.

![]() Yes Thinkxingu we had one to many white knuckle days in the 20' pontoon crossing the broads and leaving the Weirs channel !! So we opted to upgrade. Plus do you know how long it takes to cover ground on the lake at 25MPH? ![]()

At 45 MPH, you'll get where you're going in half the time, but miss most of the views. 😉 Love cruising at around 23-25, but to each their own. Good luck. 👍

I have every intention of taking our normal slow cruises at sunset and when the lake gets rough we will have more shelter from the elements. That's is why we didn't just go to a bigger pontoon.

But, you know, at this pace you'll likely be getting a new boat next year I'm gonna guess it will be a bigger Crownline. Or one with more hp. Welcome to boat ownership, i.e. the persistent search for the next craft?

When I said to my lovely wife of (lots of years) that I missed the water. She bought me a boat. I had mentioned how I loved the Chris Crafts and Garwoods in my earlier years. Have done all the crazy stuff, fast boats, Egg Harbor Sportfish. Then she told me we needed to find a cottage at a lake.

You can imagine the rest. I am ecstatic. Now I just cruise along lazily not caring how long anything takes. You see I have no place I have to be at any time. Tell that to those who fly by me at 50-80-mph, it will still be there when you arrive. Enjoy your new boat and remember there are more made every year. I am a retired workaholic and continuing aquaholic. |

Crownline owners enjoy their boats enough to organize get-to-gethers:

			Love Our CrownLine. It's an 2006 260.

Its the fastest boat we have ever owned. With minimal fuel, just me on it, and flat/calm water, I've had it to 50MPH (GPS). Plus, it is very nimble. We had it in Boston Harbor for a little while. It was alot of fun out there!
