Nhva
Thanks for posting. You led me to look into the NH Veterans Association which I find I am eligible to join and use the cottages or campground. When the cottages were first built they were bright colorful examples of Victorian architecture. In the 1950's-60's they were repainted with military surplus paint hence, all the drab gray.
The land for the NHVA was provided by the RR, first used as a campground, and in the 1880's, different regiments built their own structures with a central dance and dining pavilion, now gone. www.thenhva.org |
