I was just down at the Rt. 25 end of the lake and the exit has been changed. There clearing the land for four new house lots. The developer is letting us through this year but when the homes are built we could loose this route for next year and that will depend on the new property owners.

The developer offered to reroute the trail, while they clear some land that crosses the old trail. The new trail is ready to go but has a thin base that will improve with more snow.

The land has been subdivided into 4 lots. Unless one is purchased by an ardent snowmobiler, we will likely need to find a new permanent route.

No, we had to move that trail to the current location because the former owner of the overall land parcel did not want the road crossing where it was. The reason was that during the winter season, the studded tracks would create a low spot in the road and then during the summer trailers would bounce over it creating extra noise. While that landowner sold the land which has been subdivided, they still own the main house where the trail would need to go!
