Red face

Wishing all a very Happy Waldo Pepper's Forum Fest!!

Regretfully, I can not attend.
Went in for a physical while here in Dallas- Fort Worth, and they found high calcium in my blood. The doctor told me that he had made me an appointment in the Nuclear medicine clinic for a bone density scan. So I told him, while he was at it, to put me in for a ride in the centrafuge so that I could get my astronauts license when I got out.

Anyway, I can't get a release and have to stick around here incase they have to do more testing, and by the way, this is the first time that I have been on the working end of the wrench, If you get my drift

I am looking foward to seeing you all very soon.

Have a blast and get those photosPosted!!!!

Love,
T.

OK, now you've got me really envious! Would you be sure to do some eating for me while you're in Tuscany, please? MMmmmmmm!

I'll have plenty of lobster rolls for both of you when you get here in April, and wish you fun and safe travels meantime!

Thumbs up Will there be a temporary web cam?

I would love to meet you all but I can not make the long drive. Even though I rarely post I feel like I know many of you.

Will there be a temporary web cam so that those of us at home can check out the activities at Waldo Peppers tomorrow?

Have fun and enjoy a lobster roll and a hug for me. A frequent lurker.

Default Sorry Can't make it!

hi everyone, I haven't posted in a while and haven't been to the Lake since Thanksgiving! I'm the one that brought my two parents to the forum gathering over the summer for those that may remember!

I was looking forward to seeing you all but won't be able to make it this weekend!

Have a great time and see you soon! Jennifer

Default Missing too

This is becoming a habit that I certainly want to break. I won't be able to make this one either. Pepper, I'd like a rain check for my first-visit hug later in the year.

My oldest is in her final high school play this weekend. 3 performances just not allowing time to make it to the lake and back in time.

I have no desire to be mentioned in future therapy sessions with my absence at her final performance being the reason for a lifetime of failure and misery So, I'll be staying close to home this weekend.

Have fun!

Default Got room for two more?

I hadn't wanted to say anything until now, since my back has been giving me grief for the last couple of weeks. But things are a bit better today, so Betty and I are getting ready to head up in a few minutes.

See you all there!

Default Last call . . .

If you aren't on the road, you had better get your act together. The magic hour is fast approaching. Some of us planned this adventure well in advance: we had a sleep-over (with boys) so we would be ready to roll. Looking forward to seeing everyone in a little while!
PARTY ON!!!!

Default A Great Time!

The mini fourm fest was a great time, and I enjoyed meeting some of our "forum family". I'm really glad that Betty & I could make it!

And, a big thank you to Pepper for hosting us (and for the hugs, which were great, too!)

That wasn't fair IG. I have to wait until my summer vacation before I get up that way to enjoy one but that picture has me drooling all over my keyboard.

Thumbs up Here's mine...

We did some serious damage to the lobster population today!

It was great to see so many forum members at Waldo's today. As usual I didn't have enough time to chat with everybody but it was nice to see some new faces that I can now associate with the aliases.

Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and a special thanks to Pepper for giving me the usual royal treatment.

Today was, without question, one of the most lively and fun days in the history of Waldo Peppers. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting with all of you, and want to thank all of you for helping us to start out our season with a BANG! It was a huge treat to see so many friends - and to see so many new friendships forged! I'm delighted that so many of you were able to stay all afternoon, because it allowed me to spend so much time with you! HUGS!

RG - I sure hope you're feeling better! We missed you!

McDude - sorry I couldn't figure out a way to set up a webcam. We missed you too!!!

Mee-n-Mac - where the heck were you guys?????

GravyBoat - no excuses - unless Evan was skiing today!

Merrymeeting - your hug will be waiting when you get here. In fact, an extra one for being a great dad to your daughter! Good for you!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again to all - this was a day I will never forget!

Thankfully I am feeling and looking much better. Thanks!

Thumbs up Mff

The Mini FF was really super and it was great to see old friends as well as some new ones too.

Pepper you are really the Hostess with the Mostes! Thanks for the wonderful hug which I passed along to Mrs. JS.

Can't wait to see IG's, Hermit Cove's, Upthesaukee's and others photos posted. So far the Lobster Roll posts look as good as the one I had. I will post a couple I took of Paugus Bay on the way home.

RG - glad to hear you are better today.

Default Babes On Sleds at PepperFest

The "Babes on Sleds" aren't grumpy anymore, even though the winter was a dud for snowmobiling. Waldo Peppers is now open for the 2006 season and the "Babes" are all smiles.

Of course, the red-headed "Babe" in the middle is always all smiles (and hugs too!)

Taken at "PepperFest", March 25, 2006.

No literally ! A marauding band of crustaceans apparently heard of the upcoming MFF and decided that they couldn't just stand by and, well to more precise ... lie around and, let such lobstacide go on unchallenged. Late that AM the doorbell rings and a voice announces "Candygram, candygram for miss ....". So I open the door (OK, admittedly not my brightest moment) and was immediately overrun by a flock ... errr ... school ... hmmm ... gaggle ... no no ... a pod of, well, arthropods. And might I say not too friendly either. All I remember is a flurry of claws and pinchers and 1 particularly forceful tail slap and faster than butter melts, we were tied up in the dining room chairs. I asked them why they were being so crabby but apparently this was not the right thing to say. I guess they took that as some kind on joke about the inlaws. In any case it was looking kinda grim but luckily "Mee" had been preparing some food in the kitchen and when that pot of water boiled over ... well they just freaked right out ! It was all tail over antenna the way they scuttled on out. One of them molted his shell right on the spot ! Of course with no opposable thumb, their knot tying skills were, to be blunt, bottom feeder quality and so after an hour we were able to free ourselves. But by the time we were done with the legal (seafood) people and cleaned up the molting it was too late to make it to the MFF. Had it not been for some extreme exoskeleton behavior, we would have been there. Or ....

We had a prior dinner engagement. "Mee" had planned one of her gourmet fetes and despite any and all wriggling we just couldn't get out of it. We thought about swinging by, but with people coming over @ 4:30 it would have been an unforgiving schedule. But it appears a great time was had by all, well all that weren't of the family Nephropidae I predict another MFF sometime this boating season, which judging from the retreating ice, will be starting later this week. Perhaps by then you'll have the previously mentioned Pepper's nautical delivery system up 'n' running.

ps - A MFF, a novel way to handle your stalker problem ... but judging by the pictures, I think they are multiplying in numbers.

Mee-n-Mac - I'm laughing too hard to be mad at you for not showing!

Anytime y'all are up for another MFF - we're game.

Gotta hit the sack - lotsa prep to do in the morning!
