Anyone get their renewal paperwork in the mail yet? I thought the forms arrived late February last year...

https://www.winnipesaukee.com/forums...ad.php?t=22983 I received my paperwork in early November, paid right away, and had it by Thanksgiving or so. |

I think they come way too early. I put them away somewhere safe and now I can't find them.

Keeywaydin Island. Just south of Naples Harbor, a couple of miles from Marco Island.

If this works (and I am lousy at computers) there should be some good aerial photos here: https://marcoislandbeachgetaway.com/...n-1024x767.jpg Relationship to Winnipesaukee: Ah.......Ah...........I have used the same boat on Winnipesaukee?

Looks like a great place to hang on that island. Funny seeing a pontoon boat with no sidewalls. I kind of like it.

Well..................I built it with a very good friend. He is way more talented than I am for carpentry and assembly. We worked together and I learned a lot.

I just started with two 25 inch diameter pontoons, had them shortened, and then built the frame, and kept going. Great stereo, and acceptable drink holders and good to go. I wanted it to fit in the Florida garage. The trailer has a swing away tongue and it misses the front garage door by 2 inches. The tops of the seats miss the opening in the garage by 1 inch. It steers with a stick between the two front seats. The trim around the outside of the deck came from Bennington and the dashboard is really a WalMart cutting board. (I noticed it in the store when I was shopping for noodles) ![]() The second picture is after we put the frame and deck on it. (But there was plenty more work to do) |

It is very nice and a real party spot, especially on weekends. I have had to go up and down a couple of times just to find an opening to pull in. During the week it is much less crowded. The drop off is quick so when you beach your boat the stern is still in 3 feet of water.

If you had one of the boats below you could sell your boat lift. As the second picture shows you do have to be aware of the tide change. The owner took it in stride, when I went by he was sitting in the back seat having a drink. (Maybe it wasn't his first drink of the day!) I don't want to post too much because someone will mention thread hijacking or what relationship it has to Winnipesaukee. It is nice to look at and maybe uplifting during the long NH winter. |

When you register a new boat ask for appropriate bow numbers!

I was at MP in Glendale today and registered. No lines, no waiting.

However, I did learn that right after ice-out there was a deluge of registrations mailed to Concord and they are somewhat behind. To quote A A Milne:"Be patient, Piglet. A rescue is being thought of." |

Yesterday I stopped at MP Headquarters in Glendale to renew registrations for 2 of my boats. One boat is registered in my name, the other is registered in my wife’s name. (Note: my wife has the same last name and address as me)

When I got to the counter, the woman first asked for my ID. I thought this was a bit unusual to just renew registrations, but OK, no problem. Gave her my ID. She then looked at both registration renewal forms and told me that she could only process the one that was in my name, and would not process the one in my wife’s name. Huh? I argued that we have the same last name and address, but she held her ground and refused. She said that my wife has to personally renew the one in her name. I have never heard of anything so ridiculous. I have personally renewed the registration in my wife’s name every year since we bought the boat 6 years ago. I have never been asked for an ID to register a boat for the past 30 years that I have owned a boat in NH. Every year I register cars that are in my wife’s name without hassle and without producing an ID to do so. Has anyone else experienced anything like this, either at MP HQ or at an Agent? I intend on calling the Commissioner of the Department of Safety today to get clarification on this. |

Bureaucracy at its best. Just go to one of the boat dealers like Irwin that renew boat registrations. I’m sure they will take care of it.

Absolutely. Got you it and the mailing the renewal in is an excellent point. They have no idea who is sending in the check. Good luck

I believe the registration requires the owner to sign which seems to be her. No real difference than if a car was titled in her name and you tried to trade it in or sell it. Sure other places don’t check but you pretty much gotta expect the police to follow rules. Agree it seems silly though.

I registered my boats at town hall. It costs $5 more for the agent fee but it was worth it considering the convenience. One year I tried to register at the marina we use for winter storage and they ran out of decals. And then another year I registered by mail and it took a lot longer than expected and almost didn’t have the decals in time for launch. If you register when the renewals arrive in January you won’t have any issues and you’ll save the $5.

My wife has signed my name to the mail in forms in the past. Lucky I’ve never been stopped because she is a heck of a lot neater than me.

It cost me $50.50 to register my 16' aluminum boat w/40-hp outboard at the MP-Glendale docks.....where you save 5-dollars vs your local marina or town hall.

What did you pay? This lake has lots of big, big, big money boats ..... would be interesting to see what the big money pay?

			I only paid around $60 for a 2015 20' with a 115 hp, not bad.

I registered my Sea Doo on Friday at the DMV in Concord, and asked this very question. I was told that if I had signed all the forms in advance, my wife could register it for me.

People mail in their form to the state all the time to get their registration. How would the state know who had signed the form?

In the meantime, full online registration is slow in coming because towns are afraid it will mean they lose the revenue they get from boats not registered through their office. The state could send funds to the town as happens with cars, but the Dept. of Safety has been more aggressive with the mail program so they get to keep money. Call your rep or senator and ask them to file related legislation in September. |

I don't know how they would know. All I can tell you is what they told me in person.
