This is becoming a habit that I certainly want to break. I won't be able to make this one either. Pepper, I'd like a rain check for my first-visit hug later in the year.

My oldest is in her final high school play this weekend. 3 performances just not allowing time to make it to the lake and back in time. I have no desire to be mentioned in future therapy sessions with my absence at her final performance being the reason for a lifetime of failure and misery So, I'll be staying close to home this weekend.Have fun! If you aren't on the road, you had better get your act together. The magic hour is fast approaching. Some of us planned this adventure well in advance: we had a sleep-over (with boys) so we would be ready to roll. Looking forward to seeing everyone in a little while!

We did some serious damage to the lobster population today! It was great to see so many forum members at Waldo's today. As usual I didn't have enough time to chat with everybody but it was nice to see some new faces that I can now associate with the aliases. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and a special thanks to Pepper for giving me the usual royal treatment. Don |

Pepper you are really the Hostess with the Mostes! Thanks for the wonderful hug which I passed along to Mrs. JS. Can't wait to see IG's, Hermit Cove's, Upthesaukee's and others photos posted. So far the Lobster Roll posts look as good as the one I had. I will post a couple I took of Paugus Bay on the way home. RG - glad to hear you are better today.

The "Babes on Sleds" aren't grumpy anymore, even though the winter was a dud for snowmobiling. Waldo Peppers is now open for the 2006 season and the "Babes" are all smiles.

Of course, the red-headed "Babe" in the middle is always all smiles (and hugs too!) ![]() ![]() ![]() Taken at "PepperFest", March 25, 2006. ![]()

And might I say not too friendly either. All I remember is a flurry of claws and pinchers and 1 particularly forceful tail slap and faster than butter melts, we were tied up in the dining room chairs. I asked them why they were being so crabby but apparently this was not the right thing to say. I guess they took that as some kind on joke about the inlaws. In any case it was looking kinda grim but luckily "Mee" had been preparing some food in the kitchen and when that pot of water boiled over ... well they just freaked right out ! It was all tail over antenna the way they scuttled on out. One of them molted his shell right on the spot ! Of course with no opposable thumb, their knot tying skills were, to be blunt, bottom feeder quality and so after an hour we were able to free ourselves. But by the time we were done with the legal (seafood) people and cleaned up the molting it was too late to make it to the MFF. Had it not been for some extreme exoskeleton behavior, we would have been there. Or ....We had a prior dinner engagement. "Mee" had planned one of her gourmet fetes and despite any and all wriggling we just couldn't get out of it. We thought about swinging by, but with people coming over @ 4:30 it would have been an unforgiving schedule. But it appears a great time was had by all, well all that weren't of the family Nephropidae I predict another MFF sometime this boating season, which judging from the retreating ice, will be starting later this week. Perhaps by then you'll have the previously mentioned Pepper's nautical delivery system up 'n' running. ps - A MFF, a novel way to handle your stalker problem ... but judging by the pictures, I think they are multiplying in numbers.
