Visiting grandchildren

Three granddaughters, ages 9 12 13, are visiting for a week.Any ideas for activities would be appreciated. Any one been to Whalestale water park?

Hike Rattlesnake Mt. It's a real easy hike and an incredible view from the top of Squam Lake.

Go to Squam Lakes Nature Center in Holderness . Great for all ages.

Loon Center, Squam Lake Science Center, Hike W. Rattlesnake/Morgan-Percival/Major/Piper/Roberts (lots more, but those are the best), Beede's Falls/Cow Cave/Sandwich Creamery, Funspot on a rainy day, Wright Museum, shop Wolfeboro, Kellerhaus, Weirs train/Mount Washington, paintball, Monkey Trunks.

Going north: Canon Tram, Lost River, The Basin, Clark's, Whale's Tale, Kancamagus, N. Conway, Crawford Notch/Arethusa Falls/Diana's Baths...

All of those would be appropriate for the age group, some easier/harder. Feel free to ask for more details on any!

Spent a rainy Saturday last summer playing arcade games on the weirs and eating lunch. Surprisingly fun and inexpensive day. Played skee ball and pinball for an hour on $5.00.

A fun activity in the house or camp is making Slime. Very popular for this age group and not a lot of ingredients needed. Look up Slime making on google.

My favorite rainy day activity--with or without kids--is The Flume. In the rain there's more water and less people--a twofer! Cheap disposable ponchos are available in the gift shop. Take them to The Basin afterwards. Excellent lunch or dinner nearby is Gypsy Cafe in Lincoln.
